The season for perfect ocean side fun is here! Which means it is time for a sun holiday to Kefalonia. During high season, the temperatures can rise quickly on the island. What do you plan to do to stay cool?

Start the day with a relaxed bike tour along the coast, taking in the pleasant breeze and the highlights of Argostoli. We make loads of shady stops to cool off, including a stop for refreshing ice cream, and we cycle across the De Bosset Bridge stretching over the bay of Argostoli.

Another nice way to start the day is on the water. A relaxed kayak tour at sea from Argostoli to Minies with an experienced guide. We stop at beautiful spots, including caves and bays, combined with a tasty snack. Learn the technique and enjoy sea kayaking.

After the tour, it is time for a fresh lunch at a Greek tavern. Enjoying a refreshing drink while you take in the view of the sea.

In the afternoon, it is fun to rent a boat yourself. There is no need to have a boating license for this. Depart from the harbour and explore the bay of Argostoli. Sail along the coast to the White Rocks, and stop off at Vardiani Island along the way. Xi Beach is also within reach. On the way back, you pass the symbolic Saint Theodore lighthouse.

Another option is to drive to Costa Costa Beach and enjoy the beach. Available water activities include jet skiing, water skiing, banana boat rides behind the speedboat, pedal boats, or simply swimming. There is also a cosy beach bar for a cooling drink.

Fancy a great experience on a catamaran with a captain? At the end of the afternoon, the Sundown Tour departs from Livadi, near Lixouri. This is easy to reach by taking the car ferry from Argostoli to Lixouri. From there, it's a 10-minute drive to the starting point of the tour. Drinks on board, visits to hidden beaches, paddle boarding, and kayaking with transparent kayaks.
