AROUND THE BAY ROAD BIKE TOUR

This spectacular cycling tour brings you over the bay side road around the peninsula in Western Kefalonia: Paliki. We leave from the capital Argostoli and pass De Bosset bridge, a long stone bridge built in 1813.

We continue our ride towards Farsa, where we make a stop at a hidden spot for a nice photograph of the amazing view. Via the village of Kardakata we access Paliki and what follows is a nice descent from 300 meters down to sea level. All of a sudden you cycle through a swamp, known for birdwatching, with water on both sides of the road.
 
We arrive in an area full of olive trees and after the village of Agios Dimitrios, we enter Lixouri, the largest town in this region. Lixouri is a cozy place to have a cold drink, a souvlaki, an ice cream or the best pizza from Kefalonia. We then cruise back to Argostoli by ferry.
